

Bury Primary Care Trust
This project implements the Summary Care Record – a key element of the NHS Care Record Service – at a number of GP medical practices within the Primary Care Trusts in Bury onto the British Telecom N3 "Spine". Also in scope is the provision of the Clinical spine Application (CSA) at Accident & Emergency; walk in centres and out of hours services. The first step is the General Practice summary that is the main or only active part of the Summary Care Record; in time it will be supplemented by additional clinical information.
Ufi/learndirect – Life in the UK Project
Ufi provides the software and expertise to run the Government’s citizenship and settlement testing systems. Interim project management services were provided to:
• Implement software upgrades
• Initiate future software developments
• Assist in the implementation of a Government Gateway system to transfer test results, securely, to the Home Office• Create new questions for the question bank that supports the test system
Ufi/learndirect – “LASER” Project
Ufi initiated a £Multi-M project to migrate its learning support environment (LSE) to a new technical platform. This project was strategically vital since it supports the millions of users that use the learndirect system to gain their education and skills.
APT Response provided project management services to manage phase 2 of this major project to successful completion whilst paving the way for the delivery of the remaining phases of the project.
The Home Office – “EDRM” Project
This assignment involved the implementation of an EDRM (Electronic Document & Record Management) system throughout the Home Office. It involved coordination of the activities of the Stakeholder Relationship Managers and coaching them in the strategies and processes of Stakeholder Management.
• Implementation of Cap Gemini’s Stakeholder Management Strategy
• Development of Stakeholder Management Strategies & Plans
• Coaching of Stakeholder Relationship Managers
• Tactical steps to align key stakeholders with the aims of the project with a view to gaining acceptance and support using stakeholder management tools & techniques
• Supported the design and implementation of a bespoke Stakeholder Management system based on MS SharePoint
National Institute for Health Research: "Business Change & Deployment" Project within the Portal Programme
Since the NIHR Portal was established in April 2007 the aim has been to provide an intranet capability for people in the NIHR Research Networks and other groups and to exploit the opportunities offered by the SharePoint 2007 platform.
This programme will take the Portal to the next level in which it provides more functionality for a significantly expanded user base but also provides the foundation for mission critical NIHR applications including the NIHR R&D Management Information System (RDMIS) as well as being the main on-line channel for NIHR communications and collaboration.
• Creation and deployment of the strategic stakeholder engagement strategy
• Creation and deployment of a SharePoint Web Toolkit
• Migration/build of around 100 SharePoint sites under the Transformational Government initiative
I liaise with senior stakeholders at the NIHR, Department of Health and members of the Clinical Research Networks
